Weekly Update
Some of you may have noticed my mention in last week’s e-mail of a new member, Joe DeJesu. Towards that end, Jim has asked to explain the reasons for Joe’s addition, and it’s included here following a very brief schedule update.
This Friday, February 15, we’ll be at Napper Tandy’s, 275 RT 25A, Miller Place. We’ll play from 7:30 until 11ish. On Saturday the 16, we’re at Sunset Grill, 4068 Sunrise Hwy, Seaford, starting at 10 PM. Ok, here’s Jim………….
Hey Folks ..
Jim, here .. being that there is some stuff going on in my life, I asked if I could give this week’s update. As some of you may have guessed, I’m having trouble with the old vocal cords again and will be having surgery on March 11. The good news is that the procedure will not be done on the same vocal fold. The bad news is that I can’t sing for around three months. So instead of taking another lengthy hiatus, we collectively decided to welcome a new member into X-Session. Can you believe it? As was mentioned in last week’s email, his name is Joe DeJesu. He’s an excellent acoustic guitar player, a wonderful singer, and perhaps most importantly - a hell of a great guy as well. He was our unanimous choice and luckily for us, was available.
Joe will be added to the mix helping me to relinquish my vocal responsibilities for the coming months. I’ll still be able to smack the skins but will have duct tape over my mouth – which some of you may not mind. Ha, ha, ha .. So we’ll still maintain our standard schedule up to and through the summer months. Hopefully I’ll return to singing in late June or early July. Then look out, people! Behold, the evolution of X-Session .. with four part harmonies. A whole new rock-n-roll experience … slightly askew!
As always, thanks so much for all of the well wishes and support. See you real soon!!!

I had first heard you at Sunset Grill in November. The second time, when listening to you at Napper Tandys in Smithtown, found out that you were a guidance counselor at Commack HS where my kids go and unlike you, I graduated from North…lol. Will look forward to hearing Joe this weekend, and X Session again at Sunset Grill. Definately a much better place for the band to be appreciated. You guys are the greatest.
