X-Session, Unfiltered

We have a midsummer vacation on the horizon but prior to that there’s one more date this Saturday, July 19, at JC’s Restaurant, 2 Country Club Dr., Manorville. While we’ve played there before I understand that we’ll be in a different location this time around — playing on the outdoor deck that overlooks the golf course — and more importantly at a new time, from 4 PM until 8.

We’ve then got two weekends off and don’t play again until a couple of private dates the weekend of August 8-9. The next public offering is on August 15th at Sunset Grill in Seaford.

We’re also happy to note that Jim was cleared to start singing again so we’ve been working his vocals back in slowly. His doctor said his vocal cords look great, with no signs of the polyps that have given him trouble in the past. My own thoughts are that we’ll be at full strength with four voices by the time we return from vacation thanks to the welcome addition of young buck Joe Dejesu.

Alright I need to get going, I’ll talk to you in a few weeks.

Following the surprisingly good turnout in spite of the predictably bad weather this past Saturday, we return to Claudio’s, 111 Main Street, Greenport, this Sunday, July 13 from 2 PM until 6. Perhaps the 13th will bring some sunshine to the North Fork.

On Saturday July 12, we’ll be playing the wine tasting at the Sun & Surf Beach Club in Atlantic Beach, and although the club is private, there are many members on this list. We hope to see you then.

Looking ahead, we have a date at JC’s in Manorville on their outdoor (and covered) deck on Saturday, July 19, from 4 PM until 8 and, with our summer vacation right after and a few private dates when we return from it, we haven’t a public date again until Friday, August 15th at the Sunset Grill in Seaford.
