Weekly Update
We have yet another date this Sunday, August 16, at Claudio’s, 111 Main Street, Greenport – getting underway at 2 PM and playing until 6. And while we certainly hope to have Joe back with us by then, there’s a possibility that we’ll be playing as a trio there the same as we did this past weekend.
On Saturday August 22, we’ll be at Tide Runners, 7 North Rd., Hampton Bays from 6:30 until 9:30 and then the following afternoon, Sunday August 23, we make our debut appearance at Citifield in Flushing, singing the National Anthem prior to the Mets-Phillies game at 1:10 PM. This marks the seventh-consecutive year we’ve been so honored, and of course our first at the new stadium. In addition to the Anthem, we’ll also perform “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch.
And immediately after that seventh inning stretch, we’ll hi-tail it out of there and drive down to the south shore to play that evening at The Fishery, 1 Main St., East Rockaway. We’ll get started about 6:30 and play ’til about 10:30, after which we go home and get a well-deserved good night’s sleep!
Finally, I’d like to mention that we will be performing in a concert setting at Five Towns College in Dix Hills on Friday, October 23rd. Yes, I know it’s a few months away but I notice a lot of the center-section tickets have already been sold so it might not be a bad idea to purchase now if you plan on attending. The show, a tribute to ’70′s classic rock, will begin at 7:30. Tickets are 20 dollars apiece. To purchase seats go to the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center’s ticketing portal [Editor's Note: Ticket URL is no longer working - 10/21/10], which can be reached by clicking on the link in this sentence.
Enjoy the week, I’ll speak with you soon.
