X-Session, Unfiltered

First off, a great big “thank you” to all of you who saw us at Napper’s Northport this past Saturday.  The turnout was rather startling to those of us who thought – considering it was the day after Christmas – that it might be a quiet night. It turned out to be a whole lot of fun for us and we hope it was for all of you as well.

Our next public date will be on Saturday, January 9th, when we play at Matty T’s Roadhouse, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park. Those of you familiar with Matty’s need no explanation, but those who’ve never been should come down and check the place out, it really is a whole lot of fun. We play from 10 PM until 2.

I’ll be playing a solo gig at Sanibel Chophouse, 12 Watkins St, Lynbrook, (516)599-0298 this Saturday, January 2, from 9 PM until 12. Sanibel Chophouse has a full bar area as well as the sit-down menu section that it’s name suggests. The support that I’ve received thus far from X-Session list people at these solo gigs has been noted and is very much appreciated.

So forget your auld acquaintances and forget them — don’t even bring them to mind! (what the heck is that song about, anyway?) Seriously, have a safe and Happy New Year. May we all have a great 2010.

This Saturday, December 26, we play at Napper Tandy’s, 229 Laurel Avenue, Northport. We start at 10 PM and play until 2.

The next public date after that will be on Saturday January 9 when we return to Matty T’s, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park.  This is also a 10 PM ’til 2 date.

And finally my burgeoning solo career continues.   I’ll be at Sanibel Chophouse, 12 Watkins St., Lynbrook (it’s a half block off of Merrick Rd.) on Saturday, January 2 from 9 ’til midnight.  And I’ll be doing a regular Thursday night gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore, starting Thursday January 7, at 7 PM. Both places have bar areas if you’d prefer to have a cocktail or two and of course have a full menu.

On Friday, December 18, we’re at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E. Main Street, Smithtown for a holiday party happy hour from 7 PM until 11.

On Saturday, December 26, we complete our December Napper Tandy’s tour when we play at Napper Tandy’s, 229 Laurel Avenue, Northport This one begins at 10 PM.

And, looking ahead a bit, I see that we return to Matty T’s Roadhouse, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park, on Saturday January 9th at 10 PM.

Lastly, I will once again be playing a solo gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore, this Thursday, December 17, at 7 PM.

After a month off we’re practically chomping at the bit to play again — I guess that’s a horse term but I’m really not certain  –  and that happens this Friday, December 11, at Napper Tandy’s, 275 RT 25A, Miller Place.  This is a happy hour, so we get underway about 7 PM.

Next Friday, December 18, our annual Holiday Party takes place at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E. Main Street, Smithtown. This is also a happy hour — we play from 7 ’til 11.  Jim will no doubt be doing his annual Little Drummer Boy performance so come on down.

Also worth mentioning is that I’ll be doing a solo acoustic gig this Saturday, December 12, at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore, starting at 8 PM. As you may have guessed by the name, the menu here is Greek and, in addition to their full menu, there’s an intimate bar area as well.
