X-Session, Unfiltered

We will be out and about the next two Fridays starting with a Happy Hour at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E. Main Street, Smithtown, on February 5th from 7 ’til 11.

The following week, February 12, we have a rare Friday date at Matty T’s Roadhouse, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park, from 10 PM until 2.

As always, you can see me playing solo this and every Thursday evening at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore from 7 PM until 10.

We have some public dates in February to tell you about beginning with a Happy Hour at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E Main St., Smithtown on Friday, February 5th from 7 PM until 11.

We also return to Matty T’s, 356 Commack Rd., Deer Park on Friday (yes, Friday!) February 12, at 10 PM.

In addition, we have a date at Napper Tandy’s in Northport on Saturday, February 20 with a 10 PM start.

I also have a busy week playing some solo gigs.  I’ll be at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave., Merrick this Wednesday, January 27 at 7 PM — Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore this (and every!) Thursday, January 28, at 7 PM — and Sanibel Chophouse, 12 Watkins St., Lynbrook on Friday, January 29 at 9 PM.

Due to a few private parties and some dates blocked for personal obligations, our final public date for the month is this Saturday, January 9th, when we play at Matty T’s Roadhouse, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park. Of course, if I had to pick a place to play for our only gig it would probably be Matty’s. While there is a decidedly Western feel to the club, replete with line dancing on the spacious dance floor, one needn’t be a C&W fan to have a great time here. And if you know us — and if your on this list you probably do — you know that our repertoire runs towards mainstream rock ‘n’ roll covers and we stay true to that here. Matty’s never lacks for friendly regulars and is always a lot of fun. We start at 10 PM, but feel free to come earlier to check out the tunes being spun by DJ Neil.

And while X-Session will be somewhat scarce throughout January, you can catch 25% of the band — namely me — this and every Thursday night playing a solo acoustic gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore. This is a tastefully-decorated (some of you may remember that the building’s previous tenant – The Mixing Bowl – was featured in an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. The place still bears the fruit of Ramsay’s redecorating.) restaurant in which all the dinner tables, the bar, and a few cocktail tables are in the same room and well within earshot of the music.  I start here at about 7 PM.
