X-Session, Unfiltered

I have a few solo gigs to tell you about beginning with my customary Thursday night gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore.  I play here every Thursday from 7 PM until 10.  Not surprisingly, the cuisine is Greek and in addition to the full menu, there is a bar area with a few cocktail tables.  Both the tables and the bar area are within earshot of the music. 

On Friday, February 26, I’ll be at Grillfire, 13 North Park Ave., Rockville Centre, from 9 until midnite. Besides their full bar, Grillfire also has a full menu — click on their website above for more info.

Lastly, on Wednesday, March 3, at 7 PM I’ll be at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave., Merrick. At the risk of repeating myself, let me say that RS Jones has a full bar and a full menu, this time with a southwestern/cajun touch.

I’m afraid I have to begin this week’s e-mail with some bad news, explained in Jim’s own hand………

Hi Folks ..

Jim here, once again. Though there are no physical injuries to report, I have decided to take another leave to handle some important personal matters. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate X-Session’s extended family of friends and followers. The love and support I (we) have felt over the last fifteen years has been nothing less than magical… kinda like cool, four-part harmony on a perfect Sunday afternoon in Greenport. Nice. Please stayed tuned for updates.. especially those involving Pat’s solo performances.

Peace, love, harmony, and X-Session .. a rock and roll experience .. slightly askew.

And thus the Saturday, February 20th, date at Napper’s Northport, as well as the two Napper Tandy’s dates in March, have been canceled. There may be gigs involving Ed, Joe, and myself in the interim so please stay tuned.

The solo performances to which Jim refers above continue this week with my regular Thursday gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd, Bellmore on February 18 at 7 PM, followed by a date at Sanibel Chophouse, 12 Watkins St., Lynbrook on Friday, February 19, at 9 PM.

I’ll also be returning to Grillfire, 65 N Park Ave, Rockville Centre on Friday, February 26, at 9 PM.

We’re at Matty T’s, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park this weekend but instead of our usual Saturday, this one is on Friday, February 12. We get underway at 9:30 PM.

Then, on Saturday, February 20 we’re at Napper Tandy’s, 229 Laurel Avenue, Northport starting at 10 PM.

And, of course, you can hear me minus the boys, playing solo at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore, this and every Thursday evening from 7 PM until 10.

We will be out and about the next two Fridays starting with a Happy Hour at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E. Main Street, Smithtown, on February 5th from 7 ’til 11.

The following week, February 12, we have a rare Friday date at Matty T’s Roadhouse, 356 Commack Road, Deer Park, from 10 PM until 2.

As always, you can see me playing solo this and every Thursday evening at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore from 7 PM until 10.
