Weekly Update

Posted on Monday, March 29th, 2010 by Pat

Eddie, Joe, and myself will be playing as a trio — it’ll be our first public gig together since early February — at Napper Tandy’s, 229 Laurel Avenue, Northport this Saturday, April 3, at 10 PM. We’ve called ourselves “XXX”, “noisseS-X”, or just “Ed, Pat & Joe,” but by any name it will hopefully be fun.

I will of course be taking my regular Thursday-night turn at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd, Bellmore on Thursday April 1st from 7 PM until 10, playing solo. In addition, I will be back at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave, Merrick on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 PM and at Sanibel Chophouse, 12 Watkins St., Lynbrook on Friday April 9th at 9 PM.

Some have asked me to re-post the Youtube links for our performances at last October’s John Lennon Tribute Concert at Five Towns College so here they are:

Empty Garden
In My Life
Nowhere Man
Because

That’s all for now, have a great week.

Weekly Update

I’m happy to announce that Joe, Eddie and myself will be playing at Napper Tandy’s, 229 Laurel Ave., Northport on Saturday April 3rd, at 10 PM. It will be a pleasure to play with the fellas again, and hopefully Jim will be back in the fold in a month or two.

But in the meantime I’ve been appeasing myself by playing solo, and that continues this Thursday the 25th as I play my weekly gig at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore. I have played here every Thursday evening since early January, and the turnout has been growing steadily. It’s a comfortable restaurant with a small bar area and every table, as well as the bar, is within sight of the performer. And I can personally attest to the quality of the chicken souvlaki and the hummus. I start at 7 PM and end around 10 so you can get planty of rest for work on Friday.

Also, on Friday, March 26th, I’ll be at Grillfire, 13 North Park Ave., Rockville Centre from 10 PM until 1. Grillfire also has a full “sit-down” menu as well as a large bar area with tables.  It’s directly across the street from the Loews Fantasy 5 Movie Theater, in case you want to make it a “Movie & Pat” night.

Have a great week.  I hope that Ed and Joe, and everyone else on this list that’s going, has a great time this weekend at the Beatlefest (or whatever legal name the suits are making it be called).  Ed, don’t forget to play “You Know My Name, Look Up The Number” for me.

Hi. Just a quick reminder that I will be appearing solo this week at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave, Merrick this Wednesday, March 3rd, from 7 until 10 PM.  And, as usual, at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore on Thursday, March 4th, also from 7 until 10.

In X-Session news, Eddie’s posted videos of some of the songs that we performed at the John Lennon Tribute Concert at Five Towns College this past October. You can watch Empty Garden, Because, Nowhere Man, In My Life, and Norwegian Wood. Click on the song titles to see the videos. That’s FTC’s Joe Kuhl, the organizer of the concert, playing keyboards on Empty Garden and In My Life and singing and playing bass on Norwegian Wood.

Have a great week, thanks for reading.
