Weekly Update
Posted on Sunday, September 26th, 2010 by PatAlong with “fifth X-Sessionite” Joe Kuhl, X-Session will be playing a night of John Lennon’s Beatle songs along with some of his solo stuff in a concert setting on Saturday October 16th. The concert is at The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center at Five Towns College at 7:30 PM. There are only a little over one-hundred tickets still available. They’re 20 dollars and can be purchased from the DHPAC website. Net proceeds go towards the Five Towns College scholarship fund.
In other news, this Friday, October 1, Eddie and I will be making our debut appearance at The Stone Turtle, 4160 Austin Blvd., Island Park. This is a restaurant/bar, so feel free to come for a late dinner or just for drinks. We play from 9:30 until 12:30. Ed and I also will be performing as a duet on Friday October 8 at Lola’s Wine Bar in Long Beach.
I’m playing a pair of solo gigs this week also. I play on Tuesday, September 28, at La Bottega, 4883 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park. They have a variety of entrees as well as a large selection of Panini, very reasonably-priced, and now serve cocktails as well as beer and wine. I play here from 6:30 until 9 PM. Then on Thursday September 30, I’ll be back “home” at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore. It’s 39 straight weeks and counting here. A comfortable atmosphere, good food, and live music make this a place worth checking out. I play from 7 until 10.
Remember, you can keep up with X-Session by visiting our website: xsessionmusic.com, and also you can keep abreast of all our various side projects by visiting my personal site: patmontefusco.com.
Finally, the sights and sounds from our most recent Saturday afternoon gig at Claudio’s are still resonating within. We’d like to thank all of you for the tremendous support we’ve received, not just this past week but for this and every summer in the ten years or so we’ve played there. You folks give us the impetus and inspiration to perform better. I can’t until Memorial Day Weekend ’11!
Have a great week,
Pat
