X-Session, Unfiltered

On Friday October 7, X-Session will play a tribute to the music of John Lennon and the Beatles at KJ Farrell’s, 214 Pettit Ave, Bellmore. This is a larger, five-piece, band and we’ll get underway at about 7 PM. Immediately after us, the band Wondrous Stories will play a similar tribute to the songs of Paul McCartney. There will be a 10 dollar cover at Farrell’s that night.

We have a happy hour date in October as well. On Friday the 21st we’ll be at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E Main St., Smithtown at 7 PM.

I also have a solo date at La Bottega, 4883 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park on Tuesday September 27 at 6:30 and I’m at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore every Thursday except October 13th for the forseeable future.

I hope this this e-mail finds you all safe and sound as the post-Irene cleanup begins. In fact I hope that this e-mail finds you at all if– like me–you’re without power. Thank goodness for my iPhone and car charger.

As summer marches towards it’s Labor Day Weekend conclusion, we prepare for our penultimate date at Claudio’s, 111 Main St. Greenport, on Saturday afternoon, September 3rd at 2 PM. This is also our last public date until we return to play at Claudios on the weekend of the Maritime Festival, Saturday September 24th. Matt Schilling will be with us for these dates, I believe.

I will be playing and singing solo at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd. Bellmore every Thursday evening at 6:30 and I’ll be at La Bottega, 4883 Merrick Rd. Massapequa Park on Tuesdays September 13th and 27th, likewise at 6:30 PM.

We would like to thank all of the folks who came down to the Beach this past Saturday for the John Lennon tribute. The crowd was estimated at about 800 or so and between the turnout and the weather it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Even the pigeon that spent some time in our dressing room seemed to enjoy it
