X-Session, Unfiltered

To paraphrase Martha and the Vandellas (and what exactly IS a Vandella anyway?), “Summer’s here and the time is right for dancing on the deck!”  This Saturday afternoon May 26th we return to Claudio’s, 111 Main St., Greenport to begin another North Fork summer season. We start at 2 PM and play until 6. Perusing their website, I see that there will be Tall Ships in Greenport Harbor this weekend as well.

We also recently–as in last week–added a new date and a new locale to the schedule. We’ll be at The Porthole, 92 New St., East Rockaway on Sunday evening May 27th from 7 until 11 PM. So come down to East Rock and spend Memorial Day eve with us.

The weather report, though early, looks fabulous for this weekend so enjoy yourself however you choose to spend it and please be safe.

I have solo dates each and every Thursday at Greek Delight in Bellmore and Friday June 1st I’ll be at XO Wine and Chocolate Lounge in Huntington.

Our first outdoor gig for 2012 is this Friday, May 18, in East Rockaway at The Fishery, 1 Main St. The preliminary forecast looks like mid-60′s and dry and we’re playing early–from 6 until 10.

We follow that with a quick turnaround, back inside on Saturday night May 19th in Huntington at Black & Blue, 65 Wall St., Huntington. We get going here at 10 PM.

And we’re less than two weeks away from kicking off the summer season in Greenport. We return to Claudio’s, 111 Main St, Greenport on Saturday, May 26th, playing in the afternoon from 2 until 6.

Finally, don’t forget to stop by at Greek Delight, 2601 Merrick Rd, Bellmore, this or any Thursday evening for a great meal and a solo performance on acoustic guitar from yours truly. I play from 6:30 util 9:30.

On Friday night May 4th, we’re going to be back at Napper Tandy’s Smithtown, 15 E. Main St., Smithtown, at 7 PM. Unlike our past several dates here, we’re going back to the “old, pre-renovated” room for this gig because the new section is unavailable for a large private party. So for this night we’re going old school, you might say.

Besides my usual Thursday night solo gig at Greek Delight, I have a Wednesday night solo at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave., Merrick, at 7 PM. RS has a bar area that is separate from their dining room, so if dinner isn’t your thing feel free to stop by for a drink or two and say hello.
