X-Session, Unfiltered

X-Session will return to KJ Farrells, 242 Pettit Ave., Bellmore, on Friday, January 13th, at 7 PM. Last time we were here we did a John Lennon trubute, now we’re expanding the repertoire to include the music of Paul, George, and Ringo as well–both solo and with the Beatles. As in October, we’ll be ably assisted by Joe DeJesu and Joe Kuhl to round out the group. And, when we’re done (about 9:30 or so), Wonderous Stories takes the stage to finish out the evening.

And looking at the rest of January, we’re at Napper Tandy’s in Northport on Saturday the 21st and at Matty T’s in Deer Park on Friday the 27th.

I also have solo gigs at RS Jones, 153 Merrick Ave., Merrick this Wednesday evening ,January 4th, at 7 PM and at La Bottega, 4883 Merrick Rd., Massapequa, on Wednesdays January 11th and 25th.

Finally, I will be at Greek Delight 2601 Merrick Rd., Bellmore, on Thursday, January 5th. This particular date marks the 100th time I’m playing here since my first one in January of 2010. I’d like to thank Nick and Harry and all the gang here for making me feel at home every Thursday, and especially to those of you who’ve come out and supported me here.

Just a quick reminder that you can catch us this Friday, December 23rd, at Napper Tandy’s, 15 E Main St., Smithtown. Rumor has it we’ll be joined by Matt Schilling on guitar and Mike Quadrino on sax for this one. We’re playing from 7 until 11.

X-Session will have it’s unofficial Holiday party on Friday evening, December 23rd, at the newly-remodeled Napper Tandy’s, 15 E. Main St., Smithtown. We play from 7 ’til 11.

And if you haven’t yet made plans to ring in the New Year, you can spend it with us at Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown. The cost is 65 per person in advance, 75 at the door. Included in the price are: passed hors d’oeuvres, a light buffet, unlimited beer, wine, and soda, and a champagne toast at midnight. There is also a cash bar for any beer and drinks not included. We’ll be playing from 9 PM until 1 AM. To purchase tickets or to reserve a table call the Stonebridge Banquet Department at 631-724-1600 ext 128 or 118.

Also at Stonebridge this coming Sunday, December 18th, Jim does his final ” Breakfast with Santa” show. Kids can meet with Santa while they and their parents partake in an awesome all-you-can-eat buffet while Jim performs holiday music.
