Tiderunners cancelled

Posted on Saturday, July 7th, 2012 by Pat

Folks, Tiderunners management has cancelled tonight’s gig because of thunderstorms in the Hampton Bays area. We’ll see you Tuesday night in East Quogue.

Tiderunners, Free Concert, & The Fishery

Posted on Thursday, July 5th, 2012 by Pat

We have three gigs in the next week, two on the East End and one in East Rockaway.

On Saturday evening July 7 we play our only date of the summer at Tiderunners, 7 North Rd., Hampton Bays. This is a great setting right on Shinnecock Canal and–though the forecast looks pretty good–it’s a weather-dependent gig. We play from 6:30 until 9:30.

Then on Tuesday, July 10, we’re playing a free, outdoor concert on the Village Green in East Quogue from 7 PM until 8:30. The Village Green is located at the corner of Lewis Rd. and Montauk Hwy., not too far from exit 64S on Route 27. Being outdoors, bad weather could force a postponement and, being a Village Green, bringing chairs and/or a blanket is probably a good idea. There is plenty of free parking and public restrooms on the premises.

On Thursday July 12, the tour bus stops at The Fishery, 1 Main St., East Rockaway. Another Summer evening, another pleasant outdoor setting. We play from 7 until 11.

And my solo career resumes at Greek Delight on Thursday July 19th. Hope you all had a great holiday. Special thanks to all who celebrated it with us at Claudio’s.

Claudio’s & Tide Runners

Posted on Friday, June 29th, 2012 by Pat

The holiday week finds us with a couple of gigs, both East Enders.

On Wednesday July 4th, we celebrate the 236th birthday of the US of A at Claudio’s, 111 Main St., Greenport. We play from 2 PM until 6. Also scheduled to appear are the ghosts of Francis Scott Key–who will speak about the lyric-writing process behind the Star Spangled Banner (and may even join us in our Citifield rendition!), Betsy Ross–talking about flag design in the pre-laptop era, and Benjamin Franklin–who will expound on the joys of Colonial dining in the days before abs workouts and gym memberships. Surely not to be missed!

Then on Saturday July 7th we make our only scheduled appearance of the summer at TideRunners, 7 North Rd., Hampton Bays. This is a sunset gig–we play during, and facing, the setting sun (note to self: bring sunglasses). Seriously. it’s a beautiful atmosphere right on Shinnecock Canal. The time of the gig is from 6:30 until 9:30.

There are two weeknight gigs the week after, an outdoor concert in East Quogue on Tuesday July 10th for which I haven’t any details yet, and a Thursday-niter in East Rockaway at The Fishery¬†on July 12th.

But I know the big question on all of your minds and yes, I’m still playing solo at Greek Delight in Bellmore on Thursday nights (except for July 12th–see above)!

Have a safe and fun holiday, wherever you spend it.

Pat
